Preface Banana plants in this section are ornamental. Musa basjoo and Musa lasiocarpa can be overwintered outdoors in south coastal BC. Less hardy banana plants such as E. 'Maureli' can also used in the outdoor landscape from late spring to autumn, but it's critical to move tropical banana species indoors before the first frost. Whether placed indoors or outdoors, most banana plants do best in a sunny location. |
